Conventional plastic flossers are a persistent source of single-use plastic pollution in urban environments. Used “on the go” and then mindlessly discarded on the street, they are carried by rainwater into storm drains and onto local waterways, where they become a lasting environmental problem.

Carta is the first truly disposable flosser designed to biodegrade completely in any environmental condition. Compostable and 100% plastic-free, Carta is made from folded paperboard laminated with a starch-based adhesive and natural silk floss. The specially formulated paperboard consists of 100% post-consumer recycled fiber and is coated on one side so it can be customized with printed graphics.

A product used for only a few seconds shouldn’t last forever.
